Reiki restores inner balance allowing your body to naturally protect and heal.
You want to be well hydrated before your session and wear comfortable clothing.
Your practitioner will ask you questions to understand your concerns and goals.
During your reiki session, the practitioner may be hovering their hands over you or touching you lightly. If you prefer not to be touched, you may let the practitioner know.
Most people will dose off or be in a light sleep state as the process is so relaxing. You will be lying on a massage table fully clothed with your shoes off.
At the end of the session the practitioner will let you know what areas were blocked and how best to emotionally and physically further support the work that was done.
Over the following week, you'll notice subtle changes taking place. You may notice a bounce in your feet; feeling more relaxed; not getting stressed as easily.
Your practitioner will inform you when best to return for your next session.
