During Reiki, we encourage the pet parent to be present in the room while the pet receives reiki. Often the pet will take a few minutes to investigate the room to feel safe. Quite quickly thereafter, the pet feels the energy of reiki in the room and settles in to a comfortable position. The practitioner will then hover their hands or touch the pet lightly sending it the Reiki energy. Pets always welcome this and immediately feel at peace.
